A few weeks ago I popped up to Vermont with my friend Steven Perlmutter. We were looking for old barns and hoping for colorful foliage, or maybe it was the other way around. Whatever the plan, we wound up finding moire old barns than colorful foliage. Such is the fickleness of New England foliage in fall.
