Along the Rails
000 And some giants
Grain Silos • Atlanta, IL • Day Seven
While we were at breakfast in Lincoln, IL on Day Seven, one of the customers we were chatting with told us of stop we didn’t have on our list: the American Giants Museum in Atlanta, IL. Not just the museum, but a few more Giants in town. By this time in our trip, I was bored with the giants. We had gotten our fill in Tulsa (stay tuned for some of those), but we went anyway.
Below is an obligatory shot of the American Giants
What really caught my eye were the giant grain silos (I believe that’s what they are) standing along the railroad tracks. I grabbed a quick shot and immediately knew it needed the BW treatment.

000 About This Series
From April 12 through April 20, 2025, I was on a Route 66 Photography Adventure (The Trip) with three good friends and like minded photographers. This series is recap of The Trip in stories and images.
All of the images were shot on that historic road or within a couple of miles of it. Neither the images nor stories are necessarily presented in chronological order.
